Spousal Work Permit

Hi -

I'm relatively new to the forum and would appreciate any help that I may get.

My wife (in Pakistan) and I (in Canada) applied for our PR back in Sep 2014 and since the process has been going on forever, I applied for my wife's work permit based on my PGWP and she recently got her work visa approved back in Pakistan.

My PGWP and her spousal work permit, will be expiring in June and she is coming here to Toronto in May. We'll apply for a BOWP together once she is here in Toronto. My concern is that will we have any issues while entering Canada, since she and I will only have 1 month left on her work visa / permit and we wouldn't have applied for an extension by then.

Help and advice is greatly appreciated.

As long as she has a valid visa there should be no problem. Just to be safe apply for the extension before she arrives, so she can always use the argument that you both already applied for a bridging permit.
