Hello all, I have some questions in my mind;

1) If I got acceptance from DLI listed public college (2 years business diploma program but pre-requisite of ESL or EAP program) can my married partner get an open work permit during my study of ESL, and also entire length of my college study program and can work legally in Canada ?

2) I have a kid aged 6. Can she attend to public school for free (without any tuition fee) during my ESL study program ?

3) If I apply to a DLI listed College program (2 semester online program) from my own country (not being physically in Canada) Can this be counted as a Canadian experience or Canadian Education while applying to express entry ?

Thank you very much in advance.

1. No, s/he is not eligible for a work permit while you are taking ESL.
2. Yes.
3. No, 50% of the course must be in Canada.

However, if there is evidence indicating that the entire program of study has been shifted to distance learning indefinitely and in-person attendance is not essential to complete the program, then the prospective student will not be eligible to apply for a study permit, since physical presence in Canada is not required.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I'll add some comments regarding with your answers,

1) I know two friend of mine, they both have study permit and attending to ESL course but also conditionaly accepted to 2 years program at the same college and their married partners got a work permit (applied it when they arrived to Canada and got work permit 3 months after) Is this a situation regarding with consular officers, I thing there is a grey space with this issue. If you know any legal clause and share it with me, I'll be very happy.

2) It is clear.

3) You answered No, but this explanation (However, if there is evidence indicating that the entire program of study has been shifted to distance learning indefinitely and in-person attendance is not essential to complete the program, then the prospective student will not be eligible to apply for a study permit, since physical presence in Canada is not required.) means that is there a chance of to be counted as Canadian education or is it clearly not counted ?

Thank you so much again..
