Can I go to do flagpolling after I have applied for restoration? Is there any risk in that, I mainly want to do it in order to save my job.

As you are in Canada illegally, flagpoling is not advised.

Ok. This question may sound a bit weird but I wanted to clarify my doubts -applying for restoration means that I am legally allowed to stay in Canada until a decision is being made on my status ; and I have all the necessary documents to prove that the reason for my rejection is not valid and I have not done any job illegally.

You are allowed to stay but you are not here legally.

No, it certainly doesn't mean your rejection was not valid or that you haven't worked illegally.

I mean not valid because the job my spouse does is as shift manager in a restaurant which is falls under the category and submitted the proper payslips for it. And I have worked on my sin, for my time here and never on cash. I’m not sure what’s the reason.I’m planning to write a web form request to the case officer with the documents and detailed offer letter. What’s the response time for a web form request.

There is no set response time.

She is the Manager of the restaurant and is responsible for the store and inspection when a food quality inspector arrives. I mentioned shift manager because that is what was mentioned in the offer letter given to her. Does she need to change the wording to restaurant manager and an explanation from the owner explaining the same. Will that help?

How many people does she manage? What do you mean she is responsible for the store? Food quality inspection is really done by the chefs or cooks and checking off a delivery doesn’t make you management. CIC is aware that people claim to be retail or restaurant managers to qualify as skilled positions although they aren’t really operating in a management role or they are in stores/restaurants with very few employees so the owner basically operates as the manager.

Could you give me suggestion as what can I tell my current employer so that he can put my position on hold till this is sorted

Be honest. Explain that your wife’s work permit has been refused which impacts your application and that you are reapplying because you believe that the refusal was done in error. You don’t want to work without status because you want to follow Canada’s laws and don’t want any negative impact on your employer.

Thanks for your response. My wife has received her 3 yrs pg work permit valid until December 2022. I was already on a spousal work permit for 7 months . I am just extending my work permit.
and she’s is a manager in Popeyes restaurant which is a restaurant chain and the owner does not work there as a manager. She manages around 8-10 people in a shift in the store
