Spousal Work History

Hi All,

While filing the EE Form, I mentioned my work history, which is in order. However, since it is all foreign work ex, and I am not the principal applicant (my wife is), we obtained no points for it. We obtained the ITA on 20th April.

Now, I have no reference letters, as all of my previous organisations have refused to provide it. Can I simply upload employment letters and provide an LOE or should I simply remove the work history from the form as it has no impact on points?

We were in the same situation. Hubby is principal applicant and, although we know now that we could have excluded my work history, we included it. Managed to get a reference letter for one of my jobs, the others we just uploaded original offer letter, P60 and P45(showing last day of employment with them). They accepted it without any queries and we rec'd PPR on Thursday.

I guess I will have to provide an LoE with every upload with regard to my employment letters. But I guess its best to let the work history stay!

With regards to LOE, we just put all the issues about our app we wanted to let them know about onto one letter and uploaded that - found it easier than individual letters! I would have felt like I was lying if I didn't include my work history! It would be like telling them I'd never had a job!! Although I know there is another section you can detail it in but felt better putting it in work history.

We excluded the work history for second applicant and mentioned it in personal history instead as we didn't have proper documents. For LOE we typed one detailed letter, printed signed and uploaded it. I didn't want to write the letter by hand and upload just in case my handwriting was not good enough.
