What if the sponsors job is laid off in the middle of spousal sponsorship visa
It's fine as lone as the sponsor doesn't go on welfare / social assistance.

If we take the emergency care benefit announced recently will it count as social assistance or welfare?
Based on all of the information so far, this will not be classified as social assistance / welfare. This will be the equivalent of taking EI.

I am sponsoring my wife.
My elegibility is done.
Her biometrics are updated.
Medical done but no status because of Covid-19 my guess.

Should i update the Visa department that i m laid off or not.
if yes, i tried to find the link to update it but did not get, could you suggest.
Thanks for replying to the post above, it is appreciated.
