I am a permanent resident of Canada, and my spouse is currently in the country on a visitor visa, which has been valid for the past six months. We have submitted an application for a visitor record, but the outcome is still pending. My question is, can we submit an application for spousal sponsorship while we await the decision on the visitor record, or should we wait for the outcome before proceeding? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
