Hello All
I have questions regarding the spousal sponsorship.
I am a Canadian Citizen and got married in India in Jan 2020. We did the marriage ceremony and the court marriage. But, since I didnt have enough time to do the reception ceremony as my holidays were over and I had to return to Canada and start my job, I just completed the marriage and court marriage in India and then left to Canada.
I thought these two ceremonies are enough to apply for the sponsorship for my wife. But, after consulting my immigration agent, I came to know that the reception ceremony was required as well to apply for the spousal sponsorship.
Now, because of the COVID 19 situation, I cant go back and do the last ceremony and then come back and do the paperwork as I will be putting me and my job at risk as I might lose my job if I go for a long vacation.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I should do in order to get my application sent to CIC.
