Spousal sponsorship

Hi I have a question for my co worker . She came to Canada as a student and got later got married in Canada and was Sponsored by her husband for PR . My friends when through contineous abuse for the full year and a half of her marriage . She finally couldn't take the abuse and went to the police for help . She is now separated and planning to divorce her husband . Is there any possibility that she can marry again in the future or sponsor a spouse. This is a very unique case . We need more opinion from other people . Please help us with your suggestions. Thank you

Thank you for your reply . Can her spouse at least apply for a work permit .

Getting a work permit as a foreigner is quite difficult because it is a long and costly process for employers.
