Spousal sponsorship

I have been married for 2 years now....genuine relationship. Have a 10 month old son together. I always had difficulty putting all the documents together. finally have mostly everything sorted out. It now comes down to filling out the application forms which can be very frustrating.

When I came to Canada 5 years ago I was originally a refugee claimant. This case is still open and pending, but I got married 2 years ago. Im not sure how do I go about filling out the paperwork for the sponsorship. Especially the part that says what is my status is canada and show proof. Some say my status is Refugee claimant while other people tell me, do not mention refugee in my application. Since im technically married now, my status should be married.

They ask to provide proof also of my status. I have refugee claimant status landing paper. All i have for marriage is my marriage certificate.

Does anyone know the right way to go about filling out this application?

It's pretty simple - tell the truth. They will know you are a refugee claimant. The fact that you have been married two years though is good.

This is what I figured. Once they do background check they will know I'm a claimant so I will stick with this to avoid future problems. I know I will have an interview to prove my relationship is genuine but I think I have that covered.

I will update this thread as I go along.
