October 10th would be the file transfer date. March 28th would be the "In process" date. That is the date they had everything in order to begin the visa processing. The next step is the request for his passport band from that date it can take 2 months to get the visa in the passport and returned to him.GHK2010 said:Have so many questions as I am getting either no answers from immigration or mixed answers. I am Canadian and I am sponsoring my Algerian husband. So far are situation is as follows, We applied with a complete application for permanent residence and was recieved on May 7, 2012. I recieved an email stating I was approved to sponsor August of 2011 and then we recieved an email from the visa office in France on October 10,2011 that they had recieved our file. They asked for a second medical which was completed within the week and sent to them. My husband was then asked to attend an interview on January 16,2012. He completed his interview and the V.O said everything looked great and we should have answer within 3 months. One thing I found odd was his interview took place in Tunisia. nOW ON e-CAS IT says, "We started processing your application on March 28, 2013". What exactly does this mean as I got 2 answers one said it will now take nine more months and another said 43 working days... The visa office in france will not answer any questions. Anyone with any similar experience we would appreciate any info....so confused :-\
the processing time poste for France is 9 months. They will not reply to any inquiries you make until that 9 months has passed which is July 2013. The best thing to do is get your MP to make inquiries on your behalf.
