Spousal Sponsorship - work permit

Hi Everyone,

I am a permanent residence of Canada and currently living in Ontario. I have applied for my spouse permanent residence application(Outland) and we have received AOR for the same. Can my spouse meanwhile apply for closed work permit(Company can apply for him)? Does it impact the PR application - or does this mean we have dual intent?

Yes she/he can apply for a closed WP if she/he can find an employer will going through the time and expense. There are also no guaranteed approval and the may get PR at a similar time. The employer must apply for an LMIA first unless the ho. Is visa exempt.
