Hello,
I'm in Canada with Student VISA since 2018. And my student VISA will be expired at the end of March 2019.
I'm in relationship with my girlfriend(Canadian) for 4.5 years , and we have been talking about our marriage and sponsorship.
The problem is we don't know how much time we need to get though whole process.
My question is...
If I change my VISA from student -> visitor to extend my staying in Canada...
would it be a problem for upcoming marriage & Spousal Sponsorship process? My girlfriend and I consider that we can marry before my student VISA will be expired. But for that, we have to rush and we are not sure how much time we need to prepare for our marriage. So I would like to know that change of VISA status can affect Spousal Sponsorship in negative way(I heard that there is some process to look into our relationship)
I'm looking forward to hear from you. Thank you.
