Hi everyone,
I am having some confusion on the timeline I should be expecting to follow for my sposorship for my husband. He is living here right now on a student visa, from the UK, and we filed the spousal sposorship at the end of July to the Mississagua office. Now, I don't remember stating anywhere in the application whether we wanted the application processed inland or outland. We wanted it processed as outland but I just can't remember making that clear anywhere on the application. Did I miss something? Does Mississagua know somehow to send it to the UK for step 2, and how long will it take? I think it will be step 1: 69 days and step 2: 8 mths. Am I correct?
On top of this, we have to move at the end of October. We had planned to stay at our apartment for the duraction of the application process but it's impossible. I've been looking at the Canadapost website and it says that most government mail cannot be redirected to a new address. What should we do? I don't exactly trust a complete stranger to keep mail for me, nor do I trust the superintedent to hold our mail. I don't have a client ID yet so I can't make an address change on the website.
Does anyone have any wisdom or suggestions for us? Thank you!
