Hi everyone,
I'm a Canadian citizen. My girlfriend lives in Saudi Arabia. We are planning to have our marriage in a couple of months (we are both Muslims).
Just wanted to confirm if the Saudi Arabian marriage certificate is accepted by IRCC for the spousal sponsorship application. I've had people telling me that we should do our civil here in Canada and then apply because the marriage in Saudi Arabia may not be accepted. I have no idea to be honest, and we are having these doubts now.
Could anyone with experience help me out confirm if the Saudi Arabian marriage certificate is enough for the spousal sponsorship?
Thanks in advance!
