spousal sponsorship question

Hi everyone!

We applied for spousal sponsorship outland, and got approved on November 4. I'm currently here in Canada under a work permit. My question is, what happens next? Should I go back to the my home country or can I just wait here in Canada until I get my visa?

You can remain in Canada as long as you stay in status. As long as your work permit is not expired, you may stay in Canada and continue working. If your work permit expires, you must stop working, but may be able to apply to extend it (maybe not) or if that's not possible, you can apply to change your status to visitor (reason being you're waiting in Canada until your PR is approved).
