Spousal Sponsorship (Paper Based application)

I sent my paper based application to the sydney office. Estimated date of delivery is Jan 2nd 2020. My wife is living in Pakistan and I am sponsoring her from Canada. Just wondering how long it takes to recieve AOR? And how long the application process should take. I know the website says 12 months. But I have heard that immigration has gotten alot quicker and many have gotten PR in 6-7 months.

If anything I would anticipate longer than 1 year processing from Pakistan. The faster processing tends to come from very straightforward sponsorships from US, Australia, NZ and some European countries. AOR 6-8 weeks but could be a bit longer.

Really. I have so many friends who sponsored there wife from there. And I know immigration made everything alot faster now. Timeline is 7-8 months and more complex is 12-14 months.
