SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP (ORIGINAL DEGREES AND TRANSCRIPTS) Visa Office: LONDON, UK

Greetings,

I sponsored my wife for immigration from Pakistan back in March 2015. I submitted the complete application package along with the supporting documents at that time to the Mississauga CIC office for processing.
In May 2015, I got an e-mail from CIC stating that I'm approved as a sponsor and that the application package has been forwarded to London Visa Office for further processing. In November 2015, we got an e-mail from London Visa Office requesting my wife to send her passport to the Case Processing Centre in Islamabad, Pakistan so that her visa could be stamped. She got her passport back in a couple of weeks and then she finally landed in Toronto on Dec 20th, 2015.

The reason I'm writing this is because I submitted my wife's ORIGINAL transcripts and degrees as part of the application package and we still haven't got them back from CIC. I’ve been trying to reach someone at CIC since February 2016 and have yet to get connected.

I was under the impression that any original documents submitted with the application, are returned once the application is processed but so far I have not received anything nor heard anything from CIC. We are not even sure WHERE the documents are at this point and who or where can we contact to inquire about this.

I would really appreciate some help and/or advice in this matter since I’m tired of constantly calling the CIC and getting nothing except “try calling at another time”. It’s been almost 8 months since my wife landed in Canada. She really needs her original transcripts and certificates so that her credentials can get evaluated and she can get on with her education and career.

So if anyone knows some person who can assist us out or knows the best number we can reach or can guide us in the right direction, please help.

instead of calling, try sending a case specific enquiry to the visa office that processed her application. calling cic is not going to connect you to the visa office and you're certainly not going to be able to find out where the documents are from calling. you can submit a case specific enquiry from the CIC website. If that doesn't work, you can also try requesting your wife's physical sponsorship file. This is is like requesting GMSC notes, except, it's the entire physical file. It may or may not lead to getting the originals back, or it may just give you copies. if that also fails, the next step would be to contact your Canadian MP. They may be able to assist in getting it sent back.

I also want to ask when do canadian immigtation office return original degrees and certificates sent with the application. My husband applied my immigration in 2012 and i got immigration in 2013.But still i diidnt get my original degrees and certificates back. I emailed islamabad canadian immigration office so many times but they didnt reply. I also want to know how could i get my origianl degrees and certificates back.
