I just wanted some help in figuring the best and fastest option.
A little bit about my background.
I am an Indian citizen currently in the US on a student visa which expires June,2017. Knwing the risk involved in applying for H1b, i decided to look at canada. I recently got PPR and am waiting for my COPR from Ottawa.
Now comes the tricky part.
I am going to get married in the last week of december and my fiance is an indian national as well residing in India. She does however have a tourist visa to the US and i am planning on having her come over after the marriage till i am ready to move to Canada.
I am planning to do my landing during Thanksgiving(US-- EOM November). However, I was wondering if it would be better to do my landing and then sponsor my wife(now fiance) when i move to Canada
OR
I should not do my landing, get married and add her to my application.
NDVO is notorious for slow application processing but i am in a dillema here because outland spousal sponsorship take about 13 months as of now. Inland is not an option right now because she does not have a Canadian Visitor visa yet.
What would be the best course of action keeping in mind that I HAVE to leave the US by end of June 2017 and I must go to Canada directly from the US because i have a dog with me and it would just be easier to do that.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
