Hey everyone, me and my husband live in the United States and we have children together. They are half canadian through me. Do I have to have their medical done also? I'm not sponsoring them but I came across this statement on CIC:

If you apply for permanent residence, you must have an immigration medical exam. Your dependants must also have a medical exam, even if they are not coming with you.

I'm confused.

If they are already Canadian then they are NOT dependents for CIC purposes. So no they don't need medicals, police checks, etc.

They are just listed in the Additional Family Info form, and you should just be submitting proof of their citizenship (passports, citizen certificates, etc)

Do I have to submit their proof of citizenship? I don't have their proof of citizenship yet, I applied for it and got the acknowledgement letter from CIC.

Include their birth certificates, a letter of explanation and the CIC acknowledgement letter. You should have no issues.
