Hello everyone!

I am in the process of sponsoring my husband from manila. We applied for the sponsorhip on jan and received the approval about 30+ days after. the application was now sent to manila to process. on march 8th the embassy asked my husband for additional documents such as marriage license, proof of relationship and nso documents. a week later they requested for his original passport and photo. i recieved a letter in the mail march 11th to pay for the landing fee (not sure if thats the right term), i made the payment on march 30th and my husband submitted all the requirements on march 28th. we were waiting and waiting and we still havent recieved or heard anything else. on may 13th i recieved a letter in the mail confirming that the payment was recieved. now, what does this all mean? is my husband going to get the visa soon? PLEASE HELP ME EASE MY ANXIETY.

You don't need to be anxious as you are still within the waiting time. Manila waiting time is 9 months from the date they received a complete application package, it can be longer though if they require more documents from you. There is a thread in this forum that deals with manila spousal sponsorship which you can join.

That sounds pretty speedy to me. Things are going just fine.

Good luck.
