Spousal Sponsorship from India

Hello guys,
I am a Canadian Citizen and have applied for my wife spousal sponsorship. Her medical was done in June and file reached India in Aug. How much more time would it take to get visa.

There is a family from India I know in my building. Their son's spouse was totally processed in 4 months and that was at the time of old forms 2 years ago when the processing times were also really high.

I recently met a young fellow and his file has been waiting since December 2016. I think it all depends on case to case.
