Hi again, this is my 3rd set of queries for our application, I’ll copy this next paragraph from my first post :
First a Very brief relationship history, I'm a British citizen from England who married my Canadian wife last year. I came over to live with her late last year & we are preparing our application under the "Spouse or Common-Law Partner In Canada Class", form IMM 5289E, with her obviously sponsoring me as her spouse.
So we are getting close to completing our application now, with some great help from these forums.
This query is on form IMM 5443, the document checklist :-
Under “For the applicant & his or her dependant children” on page 1 the second bullet point asks for my “Indication of status in Canada”. As of this moment, I don’t have anything, as when I moved over here with my wife after we married, I originally had a return ticket & planned to go home for Xmas, but ended up cancelling the return flight & stayed here. My form IMM 5289E says that I don’t need any legal immigration status if my spouse is Candian, which she is. Does anybody know how I can proceed with this? Is there any documentation I can obtain here to satisfy this requirement? I’d be very grateful for any advice &/or insight here.
