Hello there! I need some inputs badly, please help. My new husband is a Canadian citizen, we were together since October 2010, had our baby August of 2012 and we just got married last January. We submitted our application for spousal sponsorship last March and according to the status check on CIC website, they received it on the 8th of march and they started processing on march 20th. So far we have just received an email confirmation from CIC that they have received our application and provided us with important numbers we might use in the future.
Anyway me and my husband is more of a conjugal partners prior to getting married because I'm from Halifax NS and he's from Fort McMurray AB. I couldn't move in with him because I am here in Canada as a foreign worker and being an RN NS so far is the only province that hires foreign RN workers. Our son was born in Halifax and we moved here in Fort McMurray with my bf (my husband now).
I want to stay updates with my co-March applicants as I am not confident with our application. Reasons are:
1. We did not submit an option C fresh from CRA. Instead my hard-headed husband has provided his personal copy of his notice of assessment and T4 I believe.
2. Another one is employment certificate for him, instead he provided me with his income verification with the company's seal. He works for syncrude and he said apparently syncrude does not issue certificate if employment.
3. I have 3 daughters from a previous marriage. Their ages are 9 and my twins are 6. Me and my ex-husband finally received our approved annulment on September 2012 and I did provide that. However, I was not able to provide a custody letter from their father because he won't let me take our kids here to Canada. My daughters have always lived with my parents since they were born and asked my parents to sign a declaration stating that they are allowing me to take my kids and permanently live here.
We haven't heard from CIC yet since that first email confirming the receipt of our application. Some says its good because it only means that they are not requiring further requirements. To me it's just too good to be true that despite the reasons I mentioned above as to why I'm not confident about our application, I still haven't heard anything.
Please help me because I'm lost and very worried, especially now that I'm going for a job interview for an RN position at the hospital up here.
PS: I also submitted an OWP application with our spousal sponsorship application.
