Hi All,

I was filling out form imm5533 (spousal outland application) which is basically the spouse document checklist. I had a question on the section on SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR SPONSORED PERSONS (PRINCIPAL APPLICANT AND ALL FAMILY MEMBERS) Part 4 - POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES.

It has 2 questions:
1. The country where you (or they) currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and
2. The country where you (or they) have lived most of your (their) life since the age of 18.

I am supposed to get PCCs only for countries stated as an answer for question 1 and 2 as per the checklist.

To give you all a background, my wife is an Indian national (and passport holder) but has been born and brought up in UAE. She has never stayed in India and has 4 vacation since she turned 18 to India for a total of less than 40 days.

So the answer to both the questions 1 and 2 in her case is UAE. Do I still need to get an Indian police clearance certificate for her?

only if she lived in both countries for more than six months, if not then you don't have to worry about providing for PCC for that country .

Hello,

I have the question on following

- My wife was in USA for about 2 years 2015 - 2017 on a project (Indian passport holder) and moved back to India in 2017.

My question was what boxes should I check below and which country name should be written in the blank space

- The country where you (or they), currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more, and ____________________-
- The country where you (or they) have lived most of your (their) life since the age of 18. _________________
