Hello Everyone,
Just hoping I could get some advice from anyone who knows or has gone through the same thing as me.
I'm in the process of sponsoring my husband from Pakistan and our application was received on July 4, 2013 at CIC and of course forwarded to the respective office of Islamabad, Pakistan. I've been checking the status on E-Cas and the status has been the exactly the same with no changes at all :-[, saying that the application has been received. I went this year back to Pakistan to spend 4 months with my hubby and now we are expecting a child at end of December 2014
.
I do have a lawyer but I feel as if he's very useless and always tells me different things and I'm not even sure what he does really. Every time I do call him, he always says that he "just talked to immigration" but I'm not even sure if lawyers have access to these things. Anyways, he's asked me give him a medical letter and he would update immigration but how can I verify that this has been done. I know that CIC can't give me any information or updates, especially when the application is somewhere sitting in the dust in Islamabad :-[
I'm so confused and worried and stressed and I would love for my husband to be here for the birth of our child, even though I know this may not be possible :'(. Any advice on what I should do or is it just a waiting game?
Thanks!
