Hey everyone!

I am applying to PR with my partner sponsoring me. In terms of income, he is currently going to school and I have been supporting us ( I have a work permit and have been working at the same place for multiple years, with my contract set to renew). I am planning to write a letter explaining this and provide pay stubs, but is there anything else that I should include, has anyone been through a similar process?
Thanks

How long have you lived together? When is your WP expiring? How long is your partner’s study program and when are they scheduled to stop studying.

one year, he will graduate this summer, it's a one-year long trade program. my permit is expired, I applied for an extension and completing this pr application as advised by a lawyer. I have enough experience to go through EE route but messed some stuff up with my application and this is faster

If your partner is graduating soon and will start working just update their financial and job info during processing. There will likely be extra scrutiny based on your status and expiry of your WP. Assume you are aware the extension will get refused when it is the bigger issue so your ability to support your family given you may not have a WP is not strong proof. Make sure you include strong proof of the start of your common law relationship especially if only 1 year and loss of your status.

Thank you for the advice!
