Spousal PR, marriage, visa extension

Hello everyone,

I'd very much appreciate any insights on this matter. I'll try my best to concisely explain my situation.
I've been dating a Canadian citizen since 2007. From 2007 up to 2014, we would normally meet twice a year, one month in Canada, one month in Brazil. Due to family matters I could only come to Canada to start a life together in March, 2014. We're currently deciding if we should get married asap or wait one year to become common law partners. We’re more inclined to marriage, though.

The thing is my visa will expire in September, 2014 and I'll need to ask for an extension. But (and now come the big issues):
1) I never stated in any of my visits to Canada that I would be visiting my boyfriend (was scared to do so);
2) this time (March) wasn't different - I said I had come over to observe some classes (as I'm a teacher)

So my questions are:
1) should I state for the extension that I'm planning to extend because we are "exploring the relationship" (saw this on other posts)?
2) should I state both the reason I gave upon landing and add the relationship part?

Since we won’t have time to apply for the spouse PR before asking for an extension, other options would be:
1) getting married and going back to Brazil in September and returning about a month afterwards and this time stating as I land that I've come to be with my husband;
2) not getting married and going back to Brazil in September and returning about a month afterwards and this time stating as I land that I've come to be with my fiancé.

Any ideas, comments, suggestions you may have, please tell me. Need good advice. :)
Thanks in advance!

Yours is a case of personal preference,

If I were you I would consider the marriage before going back to Brazil,
remember of the importance of the wedding, the pictures, reception
and all the stuff that immigration wants in a normal marriage...
Honey moon is also important...
and keeping record of all the information of your relation,

I believe that you have a solid case because you may be able to show
that your relation has been going on for a while,
but above all, they need your relation to be documented
with as much information as possible,
like Pictures,
Airplane tickets,
hotel bills,
and every single thing that you guys have been doing together,
If you are living together already you can add information of your lease
in which you may appear, if you guys have a joint account, bills that each of you receive,
insurance policies in which you guys have in common,
every little detail will help....

If you want to up for the year of living together remember that they will
be very careful when analyzing your relation, and in many cases authentic relations get rejected...
that is the only downside .... but I believe that either way that you want to go will be OK....

Good luck,

8)

Thanks Awesomeg :)

We sure have pictures, skype history, 'witnesses', and so on to prove that our relationship goes way back. I don't think that will be an issue, or hope it won't, since it is a real and long going relationship. And yes, we believe that getting married is the best option.

I just didn't want to leave in September for several reasons: I don't think it's the best time to be apart (we've been apart so long already), I just started volunteering, I'd rather go during winter...

So I'd like your (or other member's opinion) on the visa extension. Do you think I should/could ask for a visa extension? In what terms should I ask for it?

Thanks again. All help is very much appreciated!
