Spousal Open Work Permit

Hi,
I am in India and have received the study permit. I couldn't apply for my wife's Open Work Permit (OWP) along with mine since her passport was getting reissued at that time.

Can my wife apply for her open work permit from India now or it advisable to get her the visitor permit and then apply for OWP after entering in Canada.

Please help.

Your wife can apply for the open work permit from India. Attach a copy of your permit as well as letter from school showing that you are a student.
