I have a weird scenario, my wife's open work permit was rejected due to insufficient documentation so i took help of a lawyer friend and have got everything that's needed (I have a post graduate work permit and an NOC B job she gets an open permit). We have reapplied from outside of Canada now and hopefully, it will be approved this time. Before she got rejected, I bought her a flight to come here, she has a tourist visa. Now we cannot refund that ticket
My question is: Once CIC asks for her passport, can she come here as a tourist and then email CIC saying her address is changed and send passport from Canada? Also, she has a tourist visa which is valid for a couple of years already, will she be even asked for passport anyway?
