Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP) Application Delay

I'm currently on a PGWP and applied for my husband's SOWP application in Feb '24. We have crossed the standard processing time a week ago.
We have repeatedly raised webforms but keep receiving the generic message.
Does anyone know which applications are currently being processed?
We don't know for how long we might have to wait.

It looks like it’s taking most people between 1-2 months to finalize the process

Hi anjal, I also applied my husband’s SOWP on March1st 2024. The processing time is already completed but I didn’t get any decision yet. We also uploaded web form but ircc said you will get result very soon.

So you applied inland for his PR sponsorship. You are not giving much information so I am sorry but I can’t help you. All you can do is wait.

I applied spouse open work permit of my husband my husband recently in Canada as a visitor and his stay is expiring in this month so I am worried about work permit.

So extend his stay as a visitor. Wait for work permit. Hopefully PR is approved soon too.

I can’t extend his stay because he has implied status of work permit.

I applied work permit for me and my wife in Feb 07 2024 and since it was passed processing time, I contacted local MP 2 weeks back, they sent email to IRCC for the status update, and today I got final decision for both the application.
I suggest you to contact local MP if application has passed processing time.
