Spousal Open Work Permit Questions

Hello,

My husband (Canadian citizen) and I (American) hope to submit our inland spousal application in the fall, but I'm wondering is it possible to send off the the application with the OWP attached while I am outside of Canada?

I was just wondering if it's possible for me to work in the US for as long as possible until I am granted the open work permit. Sitting in Canada doing nothing for up to 4 months w/no income just doesn't sound great. I would stay in Canada for the duration of the application after I get my OWP, of course.

Does anyone know more about this and possibly the current OWP processing times?

No, you can't do that. The whole basis of applying inland is that you are actually residing IN Canada throughout the entire process.
