Hello! I'm immigrating Into Quebec. I'm married to a Canadian (by birth) and we applied for both the spousal sponsorship and the spouse open work permit through an immigration agency. The sponsorship application is moving along but we applied for the work permit end of January and we were projected that it would take 3 to 4 months...we still don't have it and no updates either. It's been incredibly frustrating so exist in this limbo and I must ask...if anyone has any experiences with the spousal open work permit. Or how it went for others. I'm hearing from a coworker of my spouse that it took her 6 months to get approved! But that was for a reapplication. It's driving me insane that there seems to be nothing I can do besides wait...
