Spousal Application-Previously worked on student visa

My partner and I are getting married shortly and so started the questions as to some of the actions in his past may effect the process.

While he never overstayed his visas or his welcome in Canada, he did at one point have a student visa but never attended school, instead he worked on campus. Was curious how that would effect the process... if anyone has experience with this... would like to hear from you.

He is not in Canada now, he left before his visa expired, that was 3 years ago.

He worked illegally and needs to declare this in the app. As long as he is honest, it will not result in a refusal the app.
