Alright so me and my husband are in the midst of filling out application out and I wanted some clarification on some things.

1) For the fees, the sponsorship application is 75$ and for permanent residency is 550$ (in Canadian). Is this correct?

2) In what format should we give proof of our relationship? Can it be screenshots of stuff from facebook, photocopies of photos of us together/at wedding and some logs from our chats? Should we include a detailed page of how we met as well?

3) Once our application is sent out, would it be possible for him to stay during the processing? He is coming close to his max months of visiting and I just wanted to make sure if this would be a valid reason.

4) Lastly I wanted to ask about extensions. We asked for an extension on May 23rd for him to stay till August 23rd
, but we've been checking non-stop and haven't gotten an answer yet. So my concern is can he apply for another extension with the reason mentioned above or does he have to go back to the US for a period of time and then come back at a later date?

well my application it outside wife live in canada and am in jamaica we pay 1040 dollar for the spousal application
Sponsorship application (per application) 75
Principal applicant 475
Getting your permanent resident status 490
For the relationship part my papers is still in process so don't sure if this would help still i screen shot my skype page but wife approved to sponsor me. and you mention in the above yes you can.

1. You will also be paying for RPRF which costs 490CAD. But you may pay that fee when it is requested but you may also pay for it and send it with your application.

2. Yes, screen captures are fine. Anything tangible that can prove that your relationship is true and lasting.

3. and 4. If you applied inland he must apply for extension for his visa. If his visa expires while waiting for extension he has IS. 1) Are you applying outland or inland? Either way, the total fees as Chucky44 listed , are $1040. You technically don't have to pay the RPRF right away, but it is HIGHLY recommended to do so.

2) Everything you mentioned is good.`Some relevant information from each year you have been together is a good idea.

3) Yes, just extend the visitor record.

4) Processing times for extensions are pretty long right now. But, I'm confused about your dates. Why would you apply for him to stay till August 23 if he's still in his 6 months? Since I assume you submitted that renewal before his 6 months was up, he will have "implied" status until you get the renewal (or refusal).

Did he get a visitor record or something when he crossed the border? Otherwise he can stay for 6 months with no renewals. If he did have a one month visitor record, they will probably give him longer than your requested date since the date has already passed.

I highly recommend not sending out your application since his extension has not yet been confirmed. If you want to get the ball rolling, I strongly suggest in applying Outland so there are no problems if his extension is not approved. If he is approved he can still stay with you when you apply Outland, what he can't do is apply for a WP. Outland applications have shorter processing times too.

How long has he actually been in Canada?

If he was only here for one month, why did you renew till August 23? His status would not even have come close to expiring yet. Unless you mean August 23 2016....

Since he is from a visa-exempt country, you don't renew a visa. You renew your status. The only thing you might get is called a visitor record. They sometimes give visa-exempt visitors this for various reasons, usually if they suspect the visitor may overstay. It's to keep tabs on you.

If he wasn't given this piece of paper, then he can stay 6 months. People usually renew this status at the 5 month mark (CIC recommends submitting renewal documents no later than 30 days before your status expires). If your renewal is approved, then they will mail him a visitor record as proof of his status.



As for your second question, put the mailing address of the place he wishes to receive the COPR.

He's been here since april 23rd. He did not get a record at the border either. So do you think they will extend his stay automatically or do we have to do another one?
