Sponsorship while pregnant

My husband, a Canadian citizen, is in the process of sponsoring me and our children. I am pregnant and we will not be moving before giving birth here, but I would like to get the paperwork done and approved now.

I'm finding conflicting advice online about whether we need to mention my pregnancy in our application and, if yes, where, how, and with what documentation. Or do we apply, and send some form of an official update to the application after giving birth? What would that be?

Thank you so much!

Yes there is a box you check on form IMM5532 If either the sponsor or applicant is pregnant and you list the due date. Nothing else is required until after the child is born. Then you would notify ircc via the web form (case specific enquiry) and upload the birth certificate. They would then tell you what is needed.

If you are not going to land as a PR before the child is born, s/he will be needed to be added to the app.
