I was married in Pakistan but I recently filed for divorced in Jan 2017. Now i want to remarry and sponsor some one else, my ex knows I need a divorce certificate for sponsorship so she is not letting me get it without some money. She filed a baseless case and as long as that case goes I can't get a divorce certificate. She is delaying and not showing up to court and all that. Now When ever I get this case solved, the divorce certificate is Gona have 2 dates. Divorce effective date and divorce certificate issue date. The divorce is done, she is free to marry any one she wants and so am I, but I am having trouble with divorce certificate.
My question is if I get married next month as in sep 2017 completely disregarding my ex blackmail, get a divorce certificate in dec (or later next year) and apply for immigration, would it be acceptable ? As in my divorce certificate would have a later date but it would show divorce effective date 8 months prior to my 2 marriage. Would it work ? Or Canada would disregard it as polygamy? Plz help. Sorry for the long msg.
She never came to Canada so I can't apply for divorce via Canada. She is just blackmailing me for money.
