i have heard many stories and past experiences that inquiring about your sponorship to see what stage it is in either in a visa office or inland will cause your sponorship to be slower then normal because they have to locate it. Now does this mean it wrong in inquire or this is just a false rumour? I know everyone has questions and whats to know whats going with there sponorship/visas.

Only if you order the complete "IN CANADA FILE" through the CAIPS process would you see an effect, because the processing office will have to retrieve the file physically for photocopying.
