sponsorship from my brother

Hi all
Recently my brother moved to Canada permanently from England and now they are settled down there. From Last month my brother's wife got a bank job and he also got a job there. And this week they are buying a new house and will be shifting there soon. So just want to know that Are they eligible now to sponsor me as his brother ? If yes then how much will be the probability to get a visa < in percentage > ?Would it be better to sponsor as a family visa or a student visa ?
As i am also looking for a student visa , but my marks are not so good and have a 2-3 years gap after the high school completion.

So guys please help me on this ....

Unless you are your brother's only relative left in the world, i.e. your parents are not alive, he cannot sponsor you under the Family Class.

For a student visa, it doesn't matter if you have a gap. However, you do need to be accepted into the school of your choice, you get a visa to attend a school you have been accepted into, you don't get the visa and then choose a school to attend. Look around the internet at schools you think you could attend, check out the admissions requirements, do some research.

Thanks guys for the great insights.
Well he is not my real brother, he is my cousin and my parents are alive. So i guess i wont get the visa under the family class.
Also for the student visa i dont have good marks < 52 percent > in the high school < here people say college in nepal >. So i think i probably may not get the visa because of my marks and the big gap of 4 years but in the 4 years i worked in a IT company and i am currently working there.

So guys what would be the best visa class for me to apply ?
And also can my cousin < brother > sponsor me in any other way to get there ?

If you are from the UK and are over 18 and under the age of 30 you can apply for an IEC (International Experience Class) work permit, which is an open work permit valid for up to 2 years.
Chek out Bunac.org or google International Experience Class Visa. If you decide you then want to stay in Canada after these 2 years are up you can then reserach in how to stay on your own.

Your cousin as a PR cannot sponsor you. Besides you decieved everyone when you mentioned "your brother" when it is, in fact, your cousin. Cousins and Brothers are not the same. You guys may be very close in friendship, you see yourselves as brothers but it doesn't change the fact you are cousins.
