I am sponsoring my child and i have a question about my net personal income in the sponsorship evaluation form. Its asking about my net personal income for the 12 month period preceding the date of your application. I am planning to send my application this month. Where do i get my net personal income information? I am so confused. I dont know my exact income for the last 12 months. What do i write on it? help please

How do you file your taxes if you are not sure of your income?
Can you check your bank statements and add up the deposits?

Yes, it's as of the date of signing. So for example, if you signed your application December 29th, 2017 you would want to calculate your income from December 29th 2016 - December 29th 2017.

It's okay if it's slightly off, but you should try to make it as accurate as possible.
You also have to submit other proof of income with your application like your Notice of Assessment/Option C from the CRA and a letter from your employer which states your salary, so the number you provide should be consistent with these other documents.

Do you get paid through direct deposit? You can look at your bank statements for the last 12 months and add them together.

Which of the forms asks this question?

Edit: sorry just realized it's sponsorship of a child.
