Hi, I am a fairly new PR here in Canada. I was sponsored by my spouse and got PR last year. My son was listed on my application as non accompanying but has now decided he wants to live with me. He is 18. The anxiety filling these forms out is killing me lol I have a couple questions if anyone can help!

I have started all the paperwork and thought I was ready to send it out when I saw that I can't have my husband as a co-signer? I am a housewife currently but have been looking for work. I have NO income but do have a significant amount of savings as well as my husbands income. Is this true that he cannot co-sign?

My 2nd question is regarding question 6 on the sponsorship evaluation form. I know I have myself, and my son whom I'm sponsoring. But do I list my husband on 6a? And we have one son together, he's a canadian citizen and 7 years old. Do I list him on 6b? So total would be 4?

Thank you so much to anyone who is able to help!!

Your husband can co-sign but it isn't necessary, as there is no minimum income requirement to sponsor a dependent child. You can show your savings or your husband can write a letter of support and provide bank statements or payslips.

Yes, the total for question 6 must be 4 people.

Thank you very much! If I could bother you for one more question that I forgot to ask in my original post...It says to provide details on the back for 6a and 6b. Is that just hubby's name and dob as well as my son's name and dob? There are 2 pages and there are places to put their information on page 2, is that what that means?

Also, my 7 year old isn't really financially dependent on me so much as my husband. Does that matter?

Yes, put their info.

Your child is legally dependent on you as well.
