Sponsorship application for my child - Help

Hi,
Me and my wife are Permanent resident of Canada. Due to COVID, we had to deliver our baby in India. She landed on Visitor visa in Sep 2021.

I already filed PR Sponsorship application for my child in July 2021 and already got Sponsorship evaluation approved and medicals cleared. Just waiting on the COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) for her PR application.

Now her Visitor status is expiring around 1st week of march. I have a question whether I need to apply for her Visitor visa extension or not. Her PR application is already in process and at last stage. Please help ASAP..!!!!

You should apply for an extension to keep her visitor status. It's hard to tell if her COPR will be issued before March. (which is coming up soon)
As soon as you have submitted an extension for ther visitor status, she will be on implied status until a decision is made on the status extension.

Thanks for your reply. Isn't she already on implied status as her PR residency already in process? Can't we wait until we hear decision on her permanent residency.

PR application do not give implied status. Same for spousal sponship. It would be the OWP for inland application that gives implied status.
Since a dependent child application do not have the option of OWP, there is no implied status possible.
