Hello,

Does anyone knows when the sponsor's information will be available for consulting on E-cas?
When I insert the 8 digit of his PR card shows the information that is unavailable.
I am under inland process I sent the papers on March 2009.

Thank you.

Hi soldier,

Your spouse's PR card most liekly won't work, Try using your receipt number along with the sponsor's information and that should give you all the information you are seeking.

Actually ms gomez, that's not exactly accurate......

IF a person who sponsors their spouse is a PR, then their PR number (the sponsor) which is found on the front of their PR card, also known as their client ID will be able to track information regarding their file. It's an 8 digit number xxxx-xxxx and must be entered on the E-cas sytem under the designation of 'Client ID Number'.

Having said that, you do have other options to check as well ...including the receipt, if you paid online.

As a PR when you sponsor someone, that information is attached (linked) to your own immigration file. WHen you search via the receipt number, or client-id, or pr card etc.. they all point to the same page with the same information regarding the perm. res. sponsorship.

As to WHEN that information will be available is really dependent upon when it is intially processed. I think step one is showing processing at 39 days...up to the beginning of May. If it has been more than this time for you and you know when it was received by the CIC [it obviously has] then you can give them a call and follow-up on your status. [Your spouse can call with their client id and get information as the sponsor.].

The op says it's an inland application so the processing time would be different. Very often, an inland sponsor can't login to ECAS until close to the time of the first stage, which is about 5-6 months from the receipt of the application.

On the other hand, the applicant (sponsored person) is usually able to login to ECAS within about one month from the receipt of the application, with his/her own information (name, dob, etc) and his/her own Client ID number, which is different from the sponsor's Client ID number.

that is teribble.. my spouse' e-cas only got updated after 6 months. it was processed on may 11 and it was recieved december 3. it's been 7 months since we sent our application and no AIP yet. i don't know what's going on. when i call them they say there is no note and everything looks fine. but it sure is a long time. i've sent all the documents such as criminal record and medical along with the fully payment of application and landing fee. i don't know what's going on honestly.

rich_mond, If I were you I would ask them what options do I have instead of waiting, I mean that's ridiculous they don't
realize that you are waiting for 7 months an answer..
you know what it's strange.. one day I called them asking If I could add more information on my file and they told me
" No you can't bla bla bla they will ask you if they need it" and I thought " oh.. ok.. if they need any other information
they will transfer my file to local office and who knows what will happen after that" so I called them again
asking the same question and one told me that I could send anything I just need to put a cover letter with my information
asking to add to the previous I sent. So, I don't know.. you can get a totally different answer in each call.. ask them if you
can contact the officer that is processing your file.. good luck! :)

thanks soldier 123

i did send additional information and proof of our relationship. like driver's license with same address, our income tax showing name of spouse. they recieved it on may 25th. when i called the guy said it should be 5-6 months and then he checked it. he couldn't tell what is going on but he said everything looks fine. i know someone who got his aip that submitted his application 2 weeks after i did. i know a friend who submitted hers 3 days before me. and she got it. she submitted everyting all at once like i did. the other guy is a refugee like i am. so it's nothing about that. i just haven't recieved mine. good luck on yours too. update me. good news give me hope. mwah.
