The application still has to go through background and security checks - so you still have a while to go. Assume it will be around a year from the time you first submitted the application.

How did you know that the application was sent to Visa Office in Missisauga? Did they sent you an email notice? Will the Ecas be updated too?

Hey there,

I’m a Canadian citizen and my wife is Filipina. We applied outland, we were processed in Mississauga, we received additional documents request and the procedural fairness letter.

From AOR to COPR in a few days short of 6 months.

I was an October 2018 outland. She landed in April 2019.

Your file was never transferred in Manila? May I ask you what was the procedural fairness letter about?

It was about the sponsor (me) proving intent to live in Canada.

We never got transferred to Manila VO.

We changed our address to a Canadian address so maybe that’s why. I really don’t know the reason. For sure that saved us months of waiting though.
