Who Can Apply to Sponsor Their Partner to Move to Canada
You can become a spousal sponsor if you meet the following qualifications:
"able to prove that you are not receiving social assistance for reasons other than a disability"

than says
Spousal Sponsorship
"The Canadian sponsor is not required to show a certain level of income, but cannot be on social assistance and has to be able to provide the basics for the spouse when he or she enters Canada."

im on PWD and have been since i was eighteen for disability (chronic asthma, learning disability, past developmental disability, past mental disorder) nothing else, i also work on call and make enough money to easily survive. im very confused though, if im on disability does that mean i cant sponsor my partner?

Note that you cannot sponsor a boyfriend. You must either be married or common law (common law means that you have lived together continuously for at least one year).

Yes - you can apply to sponsor a spouse or common law partner while on disability. You'll want to submit proof with the application that the person you are sponsoring is currently working (i.e. pay slips, tax returns, employment letters) to convince IRCC that your partner plans to work once in Canada and won't end up on social assistance. We sometimes see refusals where the sponsor is on disability for this reason.

It’s pretty unusual to work while on disability. I assume disability is aware of your extra income. Agree that it will depend on your savings, his savings, his ability to work full-time. Have you spent a lot of time together in person?
