Hello,

Im in the process of filling out the paper work to sponsor my japanese spouse. we married here in BC Canada. She has no children.

Firstly im confused on which document checklist to use- IMM 5491E or IMM 5543E.

She has to return to japan in 1 week and we were told to apply "from outside" as this would make the process a little faster.

If I mail the application from within Canada and I live in Canada can I still have the package treated as from outside?

Any and all help would be much appreciated!!

Thanks

Yes you can apply from Canada under outland,

If you get called for an interview to convince CIC that the relationship is genuine, your spouse will have to her home country for it

Best of luck
