Sponsoring Spouse vs. Common Law - minimum income

Hello,

I am a Canadian citizen looking to sponsor my common law partner. Our daughter is a Canadian citizen as well.
I have understood that if we get officially married, there will be no minimum income requirement. Is this true?
His income is larger than mine.
Does us having a child make any difference regarding the minimum income requirement?

There is no minimum income requirement regardless of whether you are married or common law.
