Hello.
I am a Canadian citizen living in Toronto.
I want to sponsor my spouse (Chinese national) living in China.
I have a few questions I hope you can help me with. It will be greatly appreciated if anyone can help us out.
For police certificate, it is stated that an original of criminal record must be submitted along with a certified translation.
My wife got the police certificate and got the government office to notarize it and translate it in the white booklets.
The problem is that the notary office (government office) keeps originals.
To make things even more complicated in China you can only get your certificate from hometown.
Does she need to fly back and ask for a second certificate so we have an original to present or does the original notarized certificate suffice?
Thank you in advance for help.
