According to guide 5196, you will have to prove you have an income that is at least equal to the minimum necessary income - this is called the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO). Each year, the Canadian government decides what this amount is and publishes the information. You will have to provide Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) with documents that show your financial resources for the past 12 months and prove you are financially able to sponsor members of the family class. You may get the help of a co-signer (must be your spouse or common-law partner).
