Hi All,

I just sponsored my wife to come to canada, she is now a PR.

1. I see that the parents sponsorship application is only by invite only? How do I put in my wife's name so she can sponser her parents.
2. She also does have 3 siblings, two of them are over 16, but a 6-year old little sister, can she bring her parents with her 6-year old sister?

Unless there is another faster way to get her parents and 6-year old sister to Canada?

1. You have to wait for the lottery to open next year and make sure you meet the income requirements.
2. All siblings under 22 years old must be included in the application as dependents and can get PR.

1. parent sponsorship (known here as PGP) are by invite only. Normally, IRCC will post/publish when the PGP program for the year is open for interest to sponsor. (no information about 2022 PGP yet) Then the son/daughter will submit an interest to sponsor form. Later that year, a lottery will be drawn on who get to sponsor their parents. Then sponsors can fill in the forms, submit documents ...etc

2. All siblings under 22 years old and single have to be included in the sponsorship application. The minimum income requirement are calculate based on sponsor's family size (spouse, children) plus the applicants's family size (i.e. THE parents + siblings under 22). There are other condition that may increase the family size but this is the general idea. The sponsor NEEDS to meet the income in the pervious 3 years before he/she send in the interest to sponsor. The spouse/common law partner of the sponsor can co-sign the sponsorship so that his/her income can be included in that.

This is the general idea.

My wife landed as PR last year in nov. Does that mean she has to wait x amount of years before she can sponsor her parents and siblings?

and how do we put her name in the lottery so we are chosen? Is 2022 open yet?

Your wife doesn't have to wait provided your income for the past three years meets the income requirements. You will need to have enough income over the past three years to cover the minimum income requirements for you, your wife, her parents, any of her parents' dependents who are under 22, and any children you and your wife may have.

The 2022 lottery is not open yet. You'll need to wait for IRCC to announce when the program is going to reopen.

1- she has only been in canada for 2 months, not 3 years, is that going to be a problem?

2- if she wants to sponser her mom, dad, and 2 sinling under 22, how much income does she need? And currently she does not work. So how will that work?

1. Already answered. No, it doesn't matter. You will cosign the application and your income from the last 3 years will be used. She obviously has no income in Canada she would need to wait at least three years before she would qualify if she wanted to do it on her own and without using your income. She can qualify next year if you co-sponsor and if you meet the minimum income requirements.
2. You need to show you have made enough income for the last three years to support 6 people. We don't know the income requirements yet for 2021. For 2020, you must have earned at least $61,613. For 2019, you must have earned at least $78,296.

What method will IRCC use to notifiy that this year PGP is open? How will we know

You need to keep watching the IRCC web site for updates.

Hi,
Sorry if I am reiterating, but can a sibling under 22 years be including in the Parents sponsorship application? I am the primary sponsor no co-signer.

If the sibling is still a dependent of the parents being sponsored, yes. Note there are several tests for whether or not still a dependent - notably if the sibling is married or in a common-law relationship, no longer a dependent.

Yes, they can be (and must be). As said above, they must be single (not married, not in a common law relationship) to be included. Also, they must still be under 22 years old at the time the application is received by IRCC (this is after you are selected through the lottery). But the short answer to your question is yes.
