Would expect that the announcement will likely be closer to the fall with no idea what the program will look like since it is renewed annually. There is a huge demand for the amount of spaces given the levels of immigration and there seems to be an attempt to prioritize those who have been waiting longest to sponsor their parents. It is not uncommon for it to take 5-10 years to get selected for parent sponsorship and sponsorship is not guaranteed. Processing is also taking longer so it is not uncommon for it to take 2-3 years to get PR once selected. It looks like you may have only pretty recently become a PR. IRCC may also continue using the EOI from 3 years ago until the list has been exhausted. There is lent up demand because there has been no new EOI for the past couple of years so I would expect a very large number of applicants next time an EOI is opened again. Nobody knows until the program is announced. Just want you to have realistic expectations so you can communicate this to your parents. Many are under the impression that after meeting LICO for 3 years they will easily be able to sponsor their parents. Some get lucky but for most it takes much longer. There is the option for parents to visit for longer stretches of time while waiting to see if they can secure PR but they should maintain a home base in their home country because they are just visitors and can’t not move to Canada.

I have received an invitation for 2023 under this program for my Mom, and I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. I have some questions and issues to discuss and find solutions in terms of paperwork needed for this application. Deadline for sumission is Dec 22, 2023.
Is your father alive and are your parents still married? If so you must include your father in the application.
